The Old Traffic Exchange Game. I get the tingles just thinking about making money online. But mention TE and I'm in Vegas. Flashing lights, sounds and not to mention the really big hits. All that's really lacking would be if someone would bring the drink kart by once and A while. A traffic exchange boils down to one thing. I'll look at your web page if you'll look at mine. The trick as far as I can tell so far is all in the who, what, when and where of it all. My first few attempts at making online money were kinda rough. The first time I made any money at all on the internet was with Cafepress. Well I just couldn't see pushing my "Niche Market" T-shirts on the TE's. So I left them behind and headed off into the jungle alone. At first it was nothing but reading through each option on each menu. Learning the different ways each site worked. I'm talking about about Pods, Crews and who else knows what they use to keep us guessing and coming back. Then I started "clicking my life away". That's all I did for a while. I promoted one TE on another. Even I figured out pretty quick that I needed a downline. Then I found Viral URL, Traffic Hoopla and Yorgoo all at the same time. Boy did I go crazy. Ya see, I really didn't have anything to advertise or a downline to help me sell it. I'd like to tell you about how I built my first (25+) TE downline. It sorta happened by accident. The trick is to find your self a couple of new TE's. Hopefully you can get in on the ground floor. I found two at about the same time and both of my new TE's were screaming. I surfed my but off. Don't forget to keep up a regular routine of surfing the big guys. Slow and steady. Ya ya ya .... Sometimes what will happen with a new exchange is the owner themselves will roll a referral into your team from time to time while the site is still new. Well this having someone in my downline invigorated me into even more action. I used all of my credits I had saved up with the big boys to promote these two little TE's. Nothing major happened overnight, but let me tell you what did happen, after just after a few short weeks. Some folks started noticing my ad, and before you know it I getting E-mails every few days informing me about our newest team member. I couldn't tell you how much of the stuff you see on these TE's is just plain old snake oil. The scams become obvious after a while. Your eyes will roll at the sound of another forced matrix pitch. When it all comes down to it, we gotta have something of value to offer, each other and the rest of the world. The Internet is going to become such a much bigger part of our lives than what we realize. © Joseph Carignan, All rights reserved. www.swfht.com/?josephcarignan Submitted on 03/21/2008 |
